Bull season 2 episode 17 review: Did Cable get her job back?
The woman at the heart of the case in Chloe Tomlin just so turned out to be important to Chunk’s daughter Anna — she was her prospective professor, and Chunk personally felt motivated to do something to help in this case as a means of proving something important to his daughter. That turned out to be even more true when tension formed between the two of them over the episode. He wasn’t there for her as a little girl, and it didn’t really matter the circumstances for it such as Chunk being an “Uncle” as a means to not confuse her regarding what really happened.
Chloe was under attack in this episode by a big dating-app company over instances of sexual abuse that she was ready to expose — unfortunately, the problem was that the company claimed that she used insider info in order to collect much of this information. With that, she faced being sentenced to a long time in prison — and to make matters all the more complicated, she wasn’t the easiest person to work with. She was heroic, but in being heroic she refused to give up any sources or do anything to help the case. To go along with that, Bull didn’t have the help of Marissa on the outside since it was a closed trial.
Was Bull able to get the answers? Sure, and what was so fun about it was getting a chance to see Marissa help him secure a win even without getting a feed into the trial. A nice recurring joke in here was him telling her, time and time again, that she was a genius.

Your Cable update
As it turns out, she is still involved in the TAC … sort of. She helped her replacement get some more information that proved valuable to the case, and it didn’t take too much time for Bull to figure out that she was responsible for helping him out.
With that, Bull showed up at her door at the end of the episode, admitted without saying so that he really needed her, and then offered her the job back. Without really thinking about it, she took it! Cheers for more Cable!
CarterMatt Verdict
There’s a lot of good stuff to celebrate in this episode, whether it be more personal story for Chunk or also Cable becoming a part of the TAC again. The show’s going off the air for a week after this episode, but thankfully it’s departing for the time being on a good note.
