Bachelor Winter Games couple Ashley Iaconetti, Kevin Wendt split
According to Entertainment Tonight, the “winners” of Bachelor Winter Games in Ashley Iaconetti and Kevin Wendt have called it quits after dating since late last year, when the series finished taping in Vermont. There were plans for a lot of cross-country travel given that Ashley lives in Los Angeles and Kevin is in Canada, but it appears already that the distance is what ended up getting to the two in the end. Here’s what a source had to say on the split:
“It was a little weird to have to figure out a long-term plan so soon … Ashley and Kevin were both really into each other, they just weren’t sure if it was a forever thing. And it’s hard to date long distance like that.”
Ashley also told the aforementioned publication that Kevin will join her on the next The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast to discuss more of what happened — obviously, the breakup had to be at least reasonably amicable to be addressing it in that sort of way.
We do know that this is the sort of breakup that is going to bum out any people out there, especially since Ashley is the sort of person in the franchise that many people have been rooting for to find love for a rather long time now. This news is coming on the heels of another Bachelor relationship really starting to make headlines in Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham, who became engaged officially last week after being together ever since earlier this year. There are still some other couples within the Bachelor Winter Games family trying to work things out, with one of the most notable ones being between Claire Crawley and Benoit from Canada. They got engaged at the end of the reunion show.
Surprised about this breakup at all?
