Homeland season 7 episode 6 preview: The ‘Species Jump’ story

Homeland season 7

Homeland season 7 episode 6 carries with it the title of “Species Jump,” and with that there are of course a number of different questions that we’ve got.

For example, when you hear the words “species jump,” what does it mean for you? We know that for us, the first thing that it brings to mind is a virus going from one species of animal or plant to another — which can turn out to be very dangerous if that said species has not built up any sort of immunity to it at all. Given that biological warfare is the sort of thing that seems like it would very much be prominent within the world of Homeland, we would not be altogether shocked if it plays a big role in this upcoming story.

Beyond just that, there are some other questions worth thinking about. The Homeland season 7 episode 6 synopsis below does a good job of presenting at least what some of them could be:

Saul calls an old friend. Wellington has a problem. Carrie enjoys a win.

As for what the remainder of this season could look like (this episode, at least by the end of it, marks a halfway point in the season), let’s just say this: There is a reasonably good chance that Carrie’s win is going to be temporarily short-lived. By the end of the episode something terrible could happen around the corner that ends up causing some problems all over again. The way Homeland goes, things often tend to go from bad to worse from the middle of the season straight on until the finale.

Basically, the promo below is your proof that things are going to be turning bad for Carrie once more — and there is a Russian intelligence operation starting to take hold. Odds are, this will not be an easy situation for anyone to wrangle.
