Sneaky Pete season 3: Will Bryan Cranston appear?
There may have been a few surprises that transpired over the course of the season, but one of the biggest surprises was who didn’t appear at all: Bryan Cranston. Despite being an executive producer on the series the producers decided that they didn’t need to go in this direction … at least for now. From a stunt-casting perspective it obviously makes sense to want to see him again; yet, it was decided in the end that the series is better off playing the long game and not just throwing the former Breaking Bad star back into the show just because that’s a particularly easy thing to do.
In speaking more on this subject in a new interview with TVLine, showrunner Graham Yost had the following to say as to why Cranston wasn’t included:
It was considered. There was something we were thinking of doing in the final episode, but then we decided that we didn’t want to hamstring Season 3 with that. If we had, it would have accelerated the pace of the whole series a little too fast. So it did become a conscious decision to not have Bryan in it.

Does this mean that he will appear in season 3? Possible, but if you are to follow Yost’s line of thinking here it does not appear as though putting him on the series is something that he is going to be looking to do immediately. Instead, this seems a little bit more like something that could be done further down the road. Take, for example, the second half of season 3 or even the season 3 finale. Both seem like worthy possibilities, but we should also point out for the time being that Cranston has yet to be confirmed to even be appearing on the next season. If anything, we are slightly counting our chickens before they hatch here.
