Above, you can see our full bracket, complete with entries, their seeds, and start/end dates. Once you are within the bracket, the dates listed are when the previous poll ends and the next one begins! We’ve got a great group of shows taking part this year, with some newbies as well as others who have been a part of the tournament every single year. The voting rules are pretty simple — you can vote however often you would like on however many devices that you would like! If you are on mobile and you are having a problem seeing the poll at the bottom of the article for whatever reason, be sure to click to view the non-AMP version of the page at the bottom of the article.
What we like about this particular showdown for today is that we’re dipping into the world of fantasy in a much bigger way than we have in the tournament so far. We’ve got a longtime-established hit in Once Upon a Time competing for the third straight year, and it’s actually up against a newcomer here in Shadowhunters taking part for the first time. There’s a lot of unpredictability and it will be interesting to see which fanbase comes out in hopes of pushing the show forward towards the next round.
With that, let’s get to breaking down these entries further. Voting for this round remains open until Saturday, March 17 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time.
Once Upon a Time (#3 seed) – In the very first edition of the TV Madness tournament, the ABC fantasy drama actually made it all the way to the final round! Yet, last year it regressed a little and didn’t make it anywhere near as far. With this being the final season, could there be some fans out there interested in supporting the series one last time? Or, have many of these said fans already bailed after this season cut away many of the longtime favorites? Both are interesting questions to ponder.
Shadowhunters (#6 seed) – The Freeform series is an underdog in the tournament today if for no other reason than that they haven’t been here before. Of the two contenders, they are the ones that are untested. It’s not clear how the series is going to fare! Shadowhunters does have an extremely passionate base, though, and that could be one of the biggest reasons why it ends up posing an enormous in this category, let alone the remainder of the tournament.
