Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 17 looks to be a terrifying episode to some out there, and we say that just by virtue of the title along: “Send in the Clowns.” Without even knowing if there are actual clowns within the episode, we still feel like we can say that just by virtue of how terrifying most episodes of SVU are. This is a show where terrible, often unimaginable things happen to people on a fairly regular basis. The SVU team can help them get justice for what transpired; unfortunately, they still cannot take away the pain.

The SVU season 19 episode 17 synopsis below details some of what is going to be coming up — it does not mention clowns, but it does give you a good sense of some of the story that is going to be coming up:

03/21/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : When a student (Mallory Bechtel) disappears during a school trip to New York City, the cops race to find a mysterious masked man. Meanwhile, Fin (Ice T) and Stone (Philip Winchester) both get visits from family. Also starring Mariska Hargitay, Kelli Giddish and Peter Scanavino. Also guest starring Ernest Waddell, Migs Govea, Amy Korb, Will Sasso, Wendy Hoopes, Eric Tabach and Erik Jensen.

It looks as though you’re going to have a case here with a clear suspect in the masked man; beyond that, this could be one of the more personal installments of the entire season as the unit works tirelessly while also dealing with more personal matters — if it is involving both Stone and Fin in different ways, watching them handle all of that should prove interesting.

From a guest-starring perspective we’re certainly excited to see Will Sasso, one of our favorite character actors, featured within this episode. SVU does continue to have one of the best casting departments in all of TV.
