Is it time to make Wynonna Earp Funko Pop! figures happen?

If you are familiar with the world of comic-book TV, odds are that you are probably equally familiar with Funko Pop! figures (the CarterMatt offices are covered in them!). These are ubiquitous at just about every single comic-book convention that is out there. They are all over the place, with some of the rarer ones at times going for hundreds of dollars.

Yet, as many different figures as there are out there, it’s also clear that there are some that are glaring omissions in the collection. Funko themselves put out a poll on the subject today in what feels as though it could be an attempt to correct some of this. Their question was simple: Which Syfy show should be turned into Funko Pop! figures next? Wynonna Earp is a choice on the show, and to be honest we don’t exactly know how this hasn’t happened yet.

If you think about what makes for a popular Pop! figure, the top of the list is having passionate fans who are going to be willing to buy them in droves. There are few fans out there more passionate than Earpers. Typically Funko releases their figures in lines of four or five, so they could put out there Wynonna, Waverly, Nicole, Doc, and Dolls right away to get things going — with some more added down the line. Out of the choices that Funko mentions here, this feels like the closest to a sure thing — though you could probablly make some fun ones for Happy!. We’re a little surprised that Krypton is even a choice given that this show has yet to even come out, when you have a show like Z Nation that has been on Syfy for 4 seasons already and has a huge fanbase! Also, Funko is still dropping the ball to a certain extent releasing Pop! figures for Supergirl after many years on the air. We know that there are fans out there that want to get their hands on a Alex Danvers Funko!

Wynonna Earp season 3 premieres on Syfy later this year, presumably as early as the summer. What better time is there to release for Comic-Con? Let’s make this happen — or at least throw the idea into the network’s head.
