The Fosters season 5 episode 18 spoilers: The 100th episode and graduation
CarterMatt has two different synopses for you below that offer up a little more news in regards to these big episodes of The Fosters, how they are going to conclude, and also the sort of drama that is coming. Even though there are happy times ahead for the family, there are also going to be some dramatic surprises.
Season 5 episode 18, “Just Say Yes” – “In the 100th episode, Brandon and Grace go on a road trip and discover a lot about each other, while Mariana and Emma vie for a competitive internship. Stef and Lena go on a couples retreat to reconnect.”
Season 5 episode 19, “Many Roads” – “In the spring finale, it’s graduation day for Callie and Brandon, but after some shocking news, the family wonders whether they will make it to the ceremony.”
For the time being, we like to think about the spring finale title as a reference to the classic Robert Frost poem “The Road Not Taken,” one in which the poet says that he took the road less traveled by and that made all of the difference. When you think about what Callie, Mariana, and the rest of these characters have been through over the years, they have absolutely chosen the road less traveled. They haven’t gone down what many consider a traditional path by any means.
So why is this being referred to as a spring finale? It’s simply because Freeform ordered three more installments to air this summer, which are going to serve as a proper conclusion to the series itself. There is still a spin-off coming up featuring Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez, but there is no official start date on that as of yet.
