MacGyver season 2 episode 17 preview: The Chernobyl mission

There are dangerous missions, and then there are the sort of missions like the one you are going to see on MacGyver season 2 episode 17. Not only is there a lot of danger with the latest mission that the Phoenix Foundation team is taking on, but they are also heading to a part of the world with its own dangerous history. Chernobyl is a town known only for one thing: Radiation. The incident decades ago devastated the region and caused the majority of the people who once lived there to move away.

It’s a shame that MacGyver doesn’t have a budget ten times what it does so they could capture some sort of footage as to what life in that part of the world is like now … at least for however many people are still there. We don’t necessarily foresee the series taking on much of that in a deep or harrowing manner; this is a show that does give you a little bit of drama, but also a lot of fun and a spirit of adventure. We have a hard time imagining that this is going to change all that much coming up.

“Bear Trap + Mob Boss” – Mac, Jack and Riley set out to find a mobster-turned-informant after he’s kidnapped and taken to Chernobyl by an international crime boss who’s worried he will deliver incriminating information to the CIA. Also, Bozer struggles to keep a secret from Matty, on MACGYVER, Friday, March 9 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Aside from all of the action regarding the Chernobyl part of the story, Bozer’s secret should be your source for most of the hour’s comedy. After all, there is still a big question out there in the universe: What other secret does Bozer even have at this point? After all, she knows the truth about Leanna.
