Scandal season 7 episode 12 sneak peek: Olivia, Annalise meet
The video sets the stage with Olivia announcing the focus of her lecture: Crisis management, and with that some of the biggest mistakes people make within a crisis. As it turns out, there is one answer that stands out above all the rest: Not knowing they are in a crisis. Some people float along for so long that by the time that they wake up and realize where they are, they have set themselves up for failure in such a way that they cannot recover no matter how hard they may want to. This will be the foundation for the meeting between Annalise and Olivia — Viola Davis’ character manages to correctly answer Olivia’s question and, in turn, seems to very much impress her.
As to where the story goes from here, what we know is that these two characters are smart, formidable, and they will clash at various points during the two hours. This is going to be a two-episode event — while we’re not going to say that the entire stories of Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder are completely connected to one another, we do still recommend watching both episodes to get a full picture of where things are.
Also, be sure to watch because you’re probably not going to get another chance — unless, of course, Olivia Pope finds a way to grace How to Get Away with Murder at some point after Scandal is over. We presume that it’s possible but there is basically zero way to guarantee such a thing. For now, let’s just enjoy the epicness of getting Davis and Kerry Washington on the screen together at the same time.
