SEAL Team spoilers: Meet Jason’s new love interest
According to a new report from TVLine, Dawn Olivieri of House of Lies will be appearing coming up on the series (which returns tonight at a special time in 10:00 p.m. Eastern) as Amy Nelson, an independent contractor who runs into Jason while out on deployment. Sparks could eventually fly between the two, but we are already starting to wonder if this relationship is going to work just because it’s so soon after what we just ended up seeing happen with Jason and Alana. Is he, in the midst of heartbreak, really going to be available for another romance? There is also the fact that the two parties are currently in the midst of a mission and Jason’s clearly not going to stay overseas forever.
Nonetheless, this is one of many interesting stories to watch over the course of the next few weeks. SEAL Team is presumably going to feel like a new show starting tonight, with much of the action concentrated to a single place and to a mission that should sprawl several episodes. It’s a bold choice by CBS, known mostly for their procedural programming, to allow this show to do something a little bit different. While there may be an element within these episodes that allows viewers to dive in at any time and understand what’s going on, there is a larger narrative designed to keep people hooked.
As for Alana, we are absolutely interested to see what role, if any, she could have in some of the stories that are coming up.
