Chicago Fire season 6 episode 14 will feature Chicago Med, PD actors
Over the course of “Looking for a Lifeline” you will see Nick Gehlfuss, Yaya DaCosta, Jon Seda, Marina Squerciati and Gary Cole — obviously Cole isn’t from either one of the other One Chicago shows but it’s nice to see that Chicago Fire is actually holding on to him for a while. Note that this episode isn’t also being billed as a major crossover of sorts: This is just about working in some familiar One Chicago characters organically into the story. This is what much of the rest of the season could do as opposed to staging anything big or epic regarding all three shows. With Chicago Med in particular there were some major challenges that came along with crossovers this year — it premiered so much later than the other shows and, to go along with that, only has a 20-episode order.
Below, the Chicago Fire season 6 episode 14 synopsis has some more insight into the episode:
After responding to a car accident, Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) become skeptical when a domineering husband continues to answer for his injured wife. Cruz (Joe Minoso) becomes frustrated with Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Mouch (Christian Stolte) when he discovers they have contacted people regarding his “Slamigan” invention without his knowledge. Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) uncovers something meaningful and important to Severide (Taylor Kinney) while Brett (Kara Killmer) discovers some potentially unsettling news.

The part of this Chicago Fire episode that intrigues the most is largely seeming if something can derail Cruz’s invention — it’s the sort of thing that, if marketed well, could actually make him a substantial amount of money. Unfortunately, if handled incorrectly he could just be screwed over. This is the one significant chance that he has to get ahead in life.
