Chicago Fire season 6 spoilers: Sarah Shahi returning
According to Entertainment Weekly, the Person of Interest actor is going to be coming back for the final arc of episodes near the end of this season as Renee Royce. In the process of that, she will have more time to spend with Taylor Kinney’s Severide — who she was certainly close to back in the second season. This time around, she comes back looking for some fire-related advice for a case that she is working on and looks towards Kelly as a great source of information. He may very well be that, but give what happened between them how willing will he really be to spend some time around her? That is one of the interesting things you may have to wonder about at the moment.
Ultimately, we do like this news just because you don’t turn up a possibility to bring Sarah Shahi back to your show. Yet, at the same time we do consider this potentially a nerve-wrecking arrival for those out there who ‘ship Kelly with Stella Kidd, given that the relationship with Severide and Renee is the sort of thing that could get in the way of something actually happening between the two parties.

Hopefully, Shahi’s return in general boosts up the end of Chicago Fire season 6 in general. While we hardly think that the series is in danger of cancellation, we do want to see the ratings go up a little. It’s in a harder timeslot this year and with that, this is a show that ultimately needs every little bit of a boost that it can possibly get.
