Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 15: Ellen Pompeo directs big Meredith episodes
Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 15 (airing on Thursday, March 15) is entitled “Old Scars, Future Hearts” — the attached synopsis offers up a little more information in terms of what’s coming:
Meredith tries to learn more about Marie Cerone’s history with her mother. Meanwhile, Jo is applying for fellowships around the country and it throws Alex for a loop; and Tom Koracick helps April acknowledge her crisis of faith.
Is this the perfect time to focus on Meredith’s past a little bit? We’re certainly fine with it given that it could allow for a larger understanding of Ellis — also, we want to dream that it could get us some flashbacks! Nothing is concerned at the moment but why not hope for it?
As for what else is coming up in the episode, we do think that the Jo storyline is one that’s worthy of an eyebrow-raise or two. That’s also something that we’ll probably discuss a little more in the future; if we were Alex, what we would do upon hearing this news is find a way to commit to her. Even if she does want to leave Seattle, make sure that your relationship with her is set in stone for a while. The April storyline is one that has been in the works since “Personal Jesus”; hopefully, we’ll see her start to get on the right path again with this story.

“Old Scars / Future Hearts” is the name of a song by the band All Time Low, and if you want to hear that you can do so below! We’ve always been of the belief that Grey’s Anatomy episode titles are not meant to necessarily echo the songs in which they are based on, but for thematic purposes we do think it’s fairly fascinating to have that information in mind going into an episode airing.
