Shadowhunters season 3 episode 2 spoilers: Izzy, Luke go on the hunt

Shadowhunters season 3 episode 2

Shadowhunters season 3 episode 2 is currently slated to air in March, and judging from some of the first information that we’ve got courtesy of Freeform, it appears as though it’s going to pick up almost immediately where the premiere left off — with some characters in big trouble.

Could this be the episode in which Lilith starts to really make the scope of her power clear: The Shadowhunters season 3 episode 2 synopsis below seems to suggest so:

The Warlocks’ magic is becoming corrupted by a demonic presence while Izzy and Luke try to track down more information on the recent series of possessions.

The easy assumption to make about this “demonic presence” is that Lilith is doing something to stop the Warlocks dead in their tracks. Meanwhile, she may be equally linked to possessions. Without reading the books and having that insight, our perception from the outside here is that she could be setting up all sorts of smokescreens in order to distract the Institute from what are her true goals: Trying to revive Jonathan and get an army of demons ready for war. She’s the most dangerous foe by far that the Shadowhunters have faced and it could take almost every single character on the show working together to stop her.

What makes Lilith so compelling is that it doesn’t seem like she is going to be a wrecking ball. She is crafty, meticulous, and we anticipate that she is going to take her time before striking. She’s not going to make a move until she feels that she’s assembled all of the power necessary to execute it.

Side note: We’re glad to see both Izzy and Like mentioned specifically in the synopsis, as we’re hoping that there is a really great season coming up for the two of them.
