Should Shades of Blue season 3, World of Dance season 2 air together?

Shades of Blue season 3 is one of NBC’s shows currently within a holding pattern; unfortunately, it is also not altogether clear at present when said holding pattern is going to end. It’s not on the network’s midseason schedule and with that, it’s easy to assume that the Jennifer Lopez series is being held at this point until summer.

So when could it air? We’re here to offer up what is the best overall suggestion we can: Pairing up the latest season of the series with the second season of another Jennifer Lopez series in World of Dance. This actually makes sense for a couple of reasons, and not just that it’s a way to get all of Lopez’s fans watching both shows on the same night.

1. It helps NBC to establish a new night – During its first season, World of Dance followed up America’s Got Talent — it drew great ratings there, and it is for that reason that we wouldn’t be altogether shocked to see the network shift things so that World of Dance, now that it is established, leads another night and in turn helps another show. Shades of Blue, which has drawn okay but not spectacular ratings so far, seems perfect for that.

2. Establishes a little more consistency – The best thing that Shades of Blue could do for itself at this point is find something that resembles a fairly normal timeslot for itself. After all, to date one of the biggest struggles for the series has been airing in different places. It aired during the week in season 1, whereas in season 2 it aired on Sunday nights. If viewers have to constantly look up when a show is airing that damages it in the long-term. They want to know when it’s on so that they can just tune in and watch without all that much in the way of effort.
