Supergirl season 3 spoilers: Who is Dr. Grace Parker?

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

Supergirl season 3 has officially brought in another notable guest star, and we’re already starting to have some major questions as to who this character named Dr. Grace Parker really is.

According to Supergirl.tv, Angela Zhou (who was excellent on Hell on Wheels as Mei) is going to be appearing later on this season as this aforementioned character. She is a renowned surgeon in National City who does just about everything that she can in order to help others.

There are two pretty clear theories as to what Grace Parker is doing within the Supergirl world.

1. A character gets into a life-threatening situation – Maybe someone in the DEO calls in Dr. Parker to help with something — such as Samantha’s condition. Maybe there is a belief that there could be some sort of surgical condition that could alleviate what she’s going through — we doubt it, since we’re not entirely sure there is a biological way to deal with her being Reign.

2. She is Pestilence – This is the easier theory just because we know that there’s meant to be a third Worldkiller and nobody as of yet has been cast in that role. There is a certain irony in a healer eventually becoming one of the most dangerous people in the world.

We suppose that it’s possible that Dr. Parker could be both — the DEO could bring in Grace only for them to discover later that she is a Worldkiller. That just feels a little too coincidental, even with a show like this where it turns out that one of Lena Luthor’s best and brightest lieutenants just so happens also be the Big Bad for the entire season.

We’ve enjoyed having all of the various theories out there on the subject of whether or not a familiar character is secretly a Worldkiller, but this in all honesty makes the most sense. If you are going to cast an actor for this part, the producers have made a pretty good choice … provided that our Pestilence theory is correct.
