Homeland season 7 episode 3 video: Is Carrie spiraling already?
Through a part of this past episode we saw Carrie in conversation with Dr. Meyer, one where we started to get a sense as to where her head was it. While she may be prescribed lithium in order to control some of her impulses and her ailments, it appears as though it is no longer working in the way that it should. During Sunday night’s new episode, Carrie is going to start to take on some of these issues head-on. She will return to Dr. Meyer, who asks her a very pointed but also important question: Is she a danger to herself or others?
Carrie recognizes within this episode that something needs to be done in order to get her mentally in a better state; yet, it’s not altogether clear to her in this moment just what that something is. She may need new medication, and above all else we think that she just needs some sort of new surroundings where she does not find herself surrounded by blackmailers and people trying to do terrible things to her. There’s always been a trying relationship between the job Carrie has and some of what she suffers from; this said relationship is going to cause even more significant problems for her moving forward.

Be prepared for a showdown between Saul and O’Keefe, one that could easily turn violent. O’Keefe seems to fashion himself a revolutionary from the 18th century desperate to preserve his own definition of freedom. The problem that goes along with that, at least in this instance, is that his definition of freedom is not anywhere near the same as what it is today. He’s always going to be a dinosaur within this time and the more that he fights it probably brings him progressively closer to knocking on death’s door.
