When is Suits season 8 filming take place?
Sources confirm that the eighth season will officially kick off in early April and, just like most other seasons of the show, will run through until the fall. Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle are already done with the series, but Katherine Heigl and Dule Hill are both going to be regulars in their place. They are not playing the same characters by any means, so it should prove to be rather interesting to see just how they are incorporated into the overall ensemble.
We think about Suits season 8 right now with two different schools of thought in mind. For starters, there is the part of our brain that of course wonders as to whether or not this will be the final season of the show and it should be planned out accordingly. There’s a cause for concern given that most USA series fail to last longer than eight seasons; yet, there is also this crazy possibility that Suits actually ends up lasting longer. Think about things in this way: What if all of the hype surrounding Meghan Markle causes some of the Suits ratings to surge — which, in turn, leads to us getting a pretty good carry-over leading into season 8. Some people interested mainly in the Royal Family may bail, but it’s possible that some others become addicted. It’s also possible that the possibility of a spin-off starring Gina Torres as Jessica invigorates the audience more.
For now, it’s best to not make any big assumptions. There are some feasible scenarios in which Suits lasts beyond an eighth season and some others where it opts to end. For now, know that even with some of the changes it does not appear as though things are changing all that much behind the scenes.
