Once Upon a Time season 7 spoilers: Haunted Mansion character set to appear
According to Entertainment Weekly, we’re going to see Being Erica actress Suzy Joachim play the part of Madame Leota, a woman who is going to be a “powerful gatekeeper to a haunted house.” This is basically a recreation from the famed Haunted Mansion character, and the report notes that she will say some lines people will remember if they have been to Disneyland in the past.
While learning about this casting is absolutely exciting news in its own right, there are some other questions that surface. For starters, is this character involved somehow within the Coven of Eight? These witches are an integral part of the story moving into the second half of the season and there are even still many questions that need to be answered. Beyond just that, we’re interested in knowing just how much time the writers can really spend building up this character.

No matter what the producers decide to do here, it’s hard to argue against the inclusion of a Hunted Mansion character — if for no other reason than that this was one of the greatest Disneyland creations out there and the theme parks are just as much the soul of Disney as anything else. While we know that there is technically a Haunted Mansion movie, the less we say about that the better we’re all going to be in the long run.
New episodes of Once Upon a Time are going to start airing on Friday, March 2 — we’ll have even more news on the show before it returns.
