Top Chef: Colorado episode 12 video: The final four celebrates

Top Chef: Colorado episode 12

What’s coming on Top Chef: Colorado episode 12? We’ve now made it to the final four, and that means a chance for some (brief!) celebration. You can see a little bit of that in the sneak preview below.

In this video, Carrie, Joseph, Joe, and Adrienne all have a chance to breathe a nice sigh of relief and rejoice in the fact that they have made it so far. It is a tremendous achievement and one that really should be celebrated — yet, there is still more work to be done and there is some time that is needed in order to mourn Chris. It’s like the guy died or anything, but this elimination does mark the last chance that this group is going to have to all enjoy being around each other in the same place. That’s a part of the experience that they can never get back. We remember this from some of our own days on reality TV. It’s a strange little world and you have to cherish the time you spend with other people who are in it.

So what’s coming up for these four chefs? The Top Chef: Colorado episode 12 synopsis gives you a little more insight into what’s coming:

The Voltaggio Brothers reunite on Top Chef for the first time since competing against each other. Their first task is judging the Rocky Mountain Oyster Quickfire to see which chef has the balls to go all the way.  Then, they reunite the chefs with surprise visitors from home in an emotionally charged Elimination Challenge where one chef will pack their knives before the next leg of the finals in beautiful Aspen.

This synopsis does give away the big surprise from the preview, but it’s exactly what we felt it was going to be in advance: Visits from loved ones to help prepare the chefs for the final leg of the competition.

Two other things that are nice to see: The return of the Voltaggio brothers to the series and, to go along with that, the impending arrival of Aspen. We knew that it was going to be a part of the series at some point; it’s mostly just interesting that almost the entire season to date has taken place in Colorado and the production hasn’t even traveled outside of it yet.
