Ink Master season 10 episode 7 video: Why is there no Flash Challenge?
So what makes this challenge a little bit different from some of the others? The teams are all working on some of the designs together! Each team has to rotate in order to make a tattoo off both an animal and its skeletal structure … on a single canvas. You’ve got multiple people working on the same canvas, and to go along with that every artist still has to find a way to be evolved. That’s a lot of work and there’s such a large possibility that something could go horribly wrong.
Out of the three teams, it certainly seems like Team Anthony Michaels is the one that has the highest degree of difficulty with what they have been assigned. Not only do they have the largest number of team members to get involved, but to go along with that they also have a canvas with pretty old skin who wants the tattoos done in a spot where it’s even harder to have multiple people working at the same time.
Battle of egos
Even though there are many people on the same team all theoretically working together within this challenge, this doesn’t mean at all that things are going off without a hitch here. You’re seeing, for example, people like Josh Payne trying to stake his claim on the challenge and clashing with DJ Tambe / everyone else in the process. These are all artists who are used to doing things their own way, and they now have to come to grips with working both with their coach and other team members at the same time.
Expect an episode with a lot of drama on Tuesday night — and also don’t expect this to be the only twist you end up seeing.
