Scorpion season 4 episode 18 spoilers: A bank robbery and a hostage crisis

Scorpion season 4 episode 18 airing on Monday, March 5 could be an episode where many of the geniuses find their lives on the line yet again. What makes this episode a little bit different from the rest is that they may not be able to rely on some of their science skills in the way that they typically are.

“Dork Day Afternoon” – Team Scorpion inadvertently crashes a bank robbery in progress and is taken hostage. Also, Sylvester’s feelings for Florence grow, on SCORPION, Monday, March 5 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

It’s the classic bank-robbery episode! We see these on a lot of crime series over time and what often makes them stand out is how various writers/producers choose to tackle some of the material. Some of them are able to provide a little more of a humorous take on how the characters get out of the situation, and we’re sure that Scorpion will. We’re also sure that science will somehow play a role, but the team will have to morph a little bit into Angus MacGyver — this is fun to say since, technically, MacGyver and Scorpion are set in the same universe via the transitive property of CBS crime shows. (Scorpion previously crossover over with NCIS: Los Angeles, which crossed over with Hawaii Five-0, which crossed over with MacGyver last year.)

For those of you wanting a little bit of bonus scoop, know this: Over the course of this episode you’ll absolutely get a chance to see a little bit more of the Happy / Toby baby story — the rest of the team is going to somehow get involved in their quest to help. We’re not sure precisely how that plays out but it’s probably not as dirty as it sounds. (Family show, people!)
