The Good Fight season 2 episode 1 spoilers: More Jane Lynch!

The Good Fight season 2 episode 1

Leading into The Good Fight season 2 episode 1 airing on CBS All Access March 4, there is going to be an additional shot of legitimacy courtesy of one person: Jane Lynch. The former Glee star first made an appearance on the series in season 1, and she’s going to be back for more starting in the early going here as she challenges the firm and some of our main characters.

Basically, all across the board there are going to be challenges for these characters; there may be victories, but they will be interspersed with some significant drama, both personally and professionally, that Diane, Luca, and Maia confront. The Good Fight season 2 episode 1 synopsis below (via SpoilerTV) offers up some more information in that department:

Season two premiere. An unfortunate event brings the firm together, along with the prospect of a new name partner, Liz Reddick-Lawrence (Audra McDonald). Meanwhile, Diane struggles to grapple with the insanity of the world and Maia is confronted with another hurdle in her parents’ scandal. Erica Tazel, Jane Lynch, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Jerry Adler and Paul Guilfoyle guest star.

The Good Fight season 2 is probably not getting the attention that it deserves at the moment, whether it be for great guest stars or also just for the story itself. One of the things that is clearly working against it is the fact that it’s on streaming; with that said, it does also have to contend with the fact that the Olympics are on. Once we make it to the other side of the Games, we’ll see more of a concentrated effort to keep promoting the show so that it’s seen by as many people as it should be. While there was a high standard for The Good Fight to live up to courtesy of The Good Wife, we do think that it found a way to live up to that through much of the entirety of season 1.
