Black Lightning episode 6 return date for Cress Williams, cast

Black Lightning episode 6 return date

Interested in learning the Black Lightning episode 6 return date on The CW? We would assume that you would be, given that we are about to embark on the first hiatus of the season. In some ways, it’s actually rather surprising that we had a new episode tonight as it is given that the Flash took the week off beforehand. The main reason we’re still getting Black Lightning is because some network executive over at The CW felt like the episode order needed to play out this way in order to ensure that Black Lightning was off the air so that some other programming could take its place a little bit later on in the spring.

Don’t worry, though — we’re not looking at any assort of super-long hiatus. The drama starring Cress Williams will return to the air on Tuesday, February 27 — the same night as The Flash, mind you — with a story entitled “Three Sevens: The Book of Thunder.” That title alone certainly suggests that some menacing things could be coming up, and the synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below may be a little bit more of an indication of that:

TO RIGHT THE WRONGS – Jefferson (Cress Williams) is on the hunt for his father’s killer, while Anissa (Nafessa Williams) uses her new powers to rectify a wrong after a protest fails. Jennifer (China Anne McClain) grapples with some difficult choices. Elsewhere, Gambi (James Remar) begs for help from Lynn (Christine Adams). Damon Gupton and Marvin Jones III also star. The episode was written by Charles Holland and directed by Benny Boom (#106). Original airdate 2/27/2018.

We know that we’ve already said this in the past already, but we like that Black Lightning isn’t waiting all that long before introducing another hero into the mix. While we cannot quite call anything from this show altogether realistic, we do think that it makes some sense for someone like Anissa to be interested in throwing herself into the fire with her new powers. Once you find yourself in this sort of extraordinary situation, we have to imagine that there is almost this feeling of extreme importance in which you feel like you can do something that nobody else has the capability of doing. With this in mind, there is that added incentive to try to go out and test it … even if it blows up in your face. (All things considered at present with Anissa, there is a pretty good chance that it will.)
