The Fosters season 5 episode 15 sneak peek: What’s next for Mariana, Logan?
For starters, remember that there are only a small handful of episodes left in the series. While Mariana will be back in her own spin-off in the future, there is no guarantee that anyone other than Callie will join her. The future doesn’t bode particularly well for Logan as a result of that.
Beyond just this, there are other issues that Logan may be dealing with that could (understandably) distract from a relationship. Take, for example, him coming to grips with the fact that his mother Tess just split from his father and there’s probably all sorts of confusion in his head as to why. There’s something about seeing Stef again that seems to have led Tess down a confusing road and she is struggling to figure it out. Meanwhile, for Stef there’s something about seeing Tess again that has led her to an interesting place. We don’t foresee anything coming that ruins the relationship between Stef and Lena at the end of the series, but there is definitely drama that needs to be addressed.

So why isn’t Mariana spending time around Mat? This was addressed at the end of this past episode with her proclaiming that she needed to move forward in her life as opposed to backwards. Mat was concerned that he may already be living in the past time of his life; meanwhile, she wants to think that some of the best is yet to come. Maybe she and Logan do have a future together, but for now it feels a little bit too early to know one way or another.
