Dancing with the Stars: Are Chloe Kim, Adam Rippon contenders?
Based on some of what we’ve seen so far both during the Games and with preseason hype in mind, here are a few possible candidates.
Chloe Kim – She was promoted leading up to the Games as a snowboarding phenom, and judging from what she showed over the past 24 hours alone, she’s proving to be worthy of that label. We’ve also gotten a little bit of her personality, in part thanks to her father.
Adam Rippon – Anyone who puts on a pair of ice skates tends to be considered a strong candidate to win a Dancing with the Stars season and we feel like Adam is no exception. He’s got everything producers could want — energy, enthusiasm, skill, and personality. He’ll stand out in a big way on the dance floor.
Erin Hamlin – The luger has already received more publicity than her sport often does just by being the flag-bearer in the Opening Ceremony. It’s certainly possible this could be a springboard to her eventually doing the ballroom show.
Shaun White – We’re honestly shocked this hasn’t happening already, given that White is arguably the most-famous snowboarder of all time. Then again, he’s basically the Winter Games version of Michael Phelps — he’s so famous and successful that he really doesn’t stand that much to gain from Dancing with the Stars.
Lindsey Vonn – Basically, everything we just said about Shaun applies here. We want to think that producers have asked both her and White before, given that they’d be stupid not to. They’re both incredible in their sports.
