Chicago Fire season 6 episode 12 details: Do Casey, Severide survive?

Chicago Fire season 6 episode 12

Do Casey and Severide survive the most-recent Chicago Fire season 6 cliffhanger? There are some spoilers ahead, as the upcoming NBC synopsis for episode 12 (airing March 1) gives away the end result of the two characters jumping off of a building.

Still with us? If so, let’s dive right in to this synopsis:

03/01/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Thursday) : CASEY AND SEVERIDE RELUCTANTLY BECOME THE SUBJECTS OF A DAY-IN-THE-LIFE PHOTO SPREAD – After photos of Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) jumping off the roof during a heroic rescue make the front page of the newspaper, Boden (Eamonn Walker) unwillingly agrees for the photographer to chronicle a day-in-the-life story at the Firehouse. Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Killmer) are on a mission to find out what keeps happening to Gerald (guest star Jonathan Isaac Frank), a frequent flier they know who lives on the streets. Meanwhile, Herrmann (David Eigenberg) decides to take up life-coaching as a side job and Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) makes a decision regarding her living arrangement with Severide.

We were never altogether uncomfortable sharing this synopsis, mostly because it never seemed altogether likely that Chicago Fire would write off one of their two most-popular characters in this sort of way in the middle of the season. What is the most fun to us about this episode (entitled “The F is For”) is the opportunity to see Casey and Severide suddenly become minor celebrities in the city. This should be fun given that both guys aren’t used to this and could have very different responses to the fame. Casey’s pretty set in his ways and we doubt that he will care about it all that much. However, this feels like the sort of thing that Kelly would embrace, especially when it comes to some of the attention he would get from women across the Windy City. (Does his heart lie more with Stella? Maybe, but the problem there is that Stella is currently in a relationship with Zach and seems ready to try and move out of Kelly’s place.)

Also, Herrmann as a life coach sounds hysterical. We’d hire him!
