Chicago PD season 5 episode 15 return date for NBC drama
Before we dive TOO far down that rabbit hole let’s go ahead and offer up a quick explanation for why there is no new episode next week or the week after — and it’s a rather simple one. The Olympics are on NBC! There is no way in the world that NBC is going to air new episodes of any of their shows over one of the biggest sporting events of the year. The South Korea-set Games this year are poised to bring in big ratings, and there is still plenty of time in which Chicago PD can air the remainder of its season without having to cut back on its episode order.
Now, let’s get back to the subject mentioned in the title: Chicago PD season 5 episode 15 is going to be coming up on the network come Wednesday, February 28. The title for this said episode is “Sisterhood” — at one point this episode was seemingly scheduled for tonight, but for whatever reason the stories got swapped around. It’s either that or the original scheduling was done in error.
Unfortunately, there are very few details available on this episode at present; yet, showrunner Rick Eid told CarterMatt recently that the storyline revolving around Voight and Denny Woods is going to continue throughout the remainder of the season. Therefore, expect that to pick back up at some point whether it be in this installment or a little bit further on down the road. One way or another, just know that the series is far from done potentially ending Voight’s career. They’re going to make us all sweat that one out a while.
As for the other interesting character stories coming up, we certainly want more of Burgess and Ruzek; meanwhile, it would also be nice to get another spotlight on Trudy Platt since that character’s been somewhat under-utilized so far this season.
