Interested in learning the Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 14 return date heading out of tonight’s episode? Rest assured that CarterMatt comes bearing some great news now!

You probably already know the bad news: SVU is going to be off the air for at least the next couple of weeks due to the Winter Olympics. This happens every four years with NBC, as they are the broadcaster of the games. The series will return to NBC come Wednesday, February 28 with an installment entitled “Chasing Ghosts,” one that will bring back Dean Winters as well as give former Pitch star Kylie Bunbury a chance to shine. As someone who really liked that show, we’re glad to have her back on TV — there’s a chance that she will have another show in the fall thanks in part to pilot season.

Below, the SVU season 19 episode 14 synopsis CarterMatt has for you gives you a pretty good sense as to what is coming up:

02/28/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : A doctor (guest star Lorenzo Scott) arrested for sexually abusing his patients is set free after Cassidy’s (guest star Dean Winters) testimony causes a mistrial. Also guest starring Kylie Bunbury.

This is a case that clearly seems to be putting Cassidy at the center of everything, and we imagine that this is going to be a rather precarious position for him to be in. While this is a man who has dealt with some pretty difficult circumstances over time, there is a different sort of guilt and responsibility he may feel as a result of this.

What’s coming up on the other side of this episode?

There are a number of other guest stars slated to appear, and of course SVU is starting to plot out a big finale that will likely feature a few more enormous surprise twists and turns. The show does not have a season 20 renewal just yet, but we like to assume that one will be coming at some point before May sweeps. We’d be lucky to get it before then, but we don’t have any indication or really even optimism that it will happen over the hiatus. That’s a little bit too early, at least in comparison to past seasons.
