Once Upon a Time ending: Lana Parrilla, Jennifer Morrison, Colin O’Donoghue, more react
If you missed the news yesterday, the series is coming to a close on ABC at the end of the seventh season. It’s had an incredible run but the reality remains that all shows must end, and at least this one is getting a chance to end on its own terms rather than being canceled outright by the network. It has a chance to wrap up the story, and we hope that there are opportunities to see some of the original cast members again in the finale — think along the lines of Jennifer Morrison, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Josh Dallas. It’d also be nice to bring back some of our other favorite actors who appeared over the years, whether it be Raphael Sbarge, Sean Maguire, Meghan Ory, or Jamie Chung.
You can see a CarterMatt video below if you want a deeper explanation (from us personally!) as to why the show is ending now — we also thought that we would share some messages from some of the people who poured their heart and soul into the series over the years.

One of the things that you really get a good sense of after seeing some of these messages is the sheer amount of love and heart that went into making the series. This was not a show that was at times easy to make, given that there were long hours, many night shoots, and also instances in which there was a lot of green-screen work required. That’s not always easy to pull off, but this cast found a way to make it happen. They’ve also had the support of some of the best fans in the business along the way.
