Bull season 2 episode 14: Who is Malcolm Swift? (Sneak Peek)
In the sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below, we see exactly why he is a target. An air-traffic control system was hacked, and as a result of that two jetliners were almost brought down — which could have, in turn, led to the deaths of countless people. The main reason to pinpoint Swift as the guilty party for this is that he’s one of the few people capable of doing this in the entire world. Professionally, he is one of those people who corporations hire to hack into their own systems, which he then analyzes and checks for vulnerabilities. He is able to do things with computers that very few others can.
However, Bull points out to the federal investigators here that there is a clear problem in their thinking — where’s the motive? Why would Malcolm Smith do something like this? Just because he has the capacity to do something doesn’t necessarily mean that he will. This poses some interesting questions as the case progresses — given that there are a few other people who can do what Swift is accused of, Bull may try and track them down and assess their own culpability here.

Beyond that, of course, there are still questions that remain regarding how Cable ends up getting involved with this case. In some of the promotional material that is out there about this episode it appears as though she will be roped into what happens when she breaks the law during the case — but to what end? There is a reasonably good chance that she ends up out of a job at the end of the episode unless her actions somehow end up serving a much larger goal. Unfortunately, there are not too many clues within this sneak peek as to what that goal will be.
