Could Poldark season 4 premiere date air earlier than expected?
Speaking per the Radio Times, none other than series star Aidan Turner seemed to suggest that the premiere date could be a little earlier in the summer this year — we don’t expect it to be months earlier than when season 3 premiered, but a few weeks earlier seems like a very firm possibility:
“[It could return] sooner rather than later, I imagine … I think it’s probably a different time to last year, it’s probably earlier from what I can gather. They need to finish post production and all of those sorts of things so that’s when I step out.”
One of the first reasons why we could see an earlier Poldark season 4 premiere date is simply due to the fact that production finished a little bit earlier this year. Beyond that, there is also one fewer episode, which means in turn a little less time is needed in order to turn things around. We know that the BBC loves themselves some Poldark and with that, they want to do everything in their power in order to ensure that they get it out there to viewers as fan as they possibly can.

If there is one unfortunate downside to this news, it’s mostly just this: It doesn’t appear as though there are any plans for Poldark season 4 to premiere any faster in America. There seems to be a pretty firm plan for when things are going to launch stateside and it doesn’t look as though the fine folks over at PBS is moving particularly far away from that. We do understand why, mostly because they clearly have a good thing going and don’t want to do a whole lot in order to miss that up. They rely a little bit more on timeslot consistency than the people over at the BBC do.
