Danny Trejo returning to The Flash season 4 as Breacher
In a post on Instagram recently, episode director Kevin Smith confirmed that the Machete film icon will be appearing for at least one more episode as Breacher, Gypsy’s father who became a significant source of stress for Cisco earlier on this season. He spent most of the episode thinking that Carlos Valdes’ character was unworthy of his daughter and wanted to hunt him down because of it. Luckily, by the end of the episode it started to appear as though Breacher was starting to come around.
What’s a little more interesting about this upcoming episode is that even though we’re getting Trejo, there is no guarantee that we’re also getting Gypsy at the same time. Jessica Camacho’s schedule is a little more jam-packed this season than just about ever before, largely because of her series-regular status on NBC’s Taken. As far as we can tell she and Cisco are still together, but they have a tough time showing much of the relationship. (Would it be too much to actually share a few conversations here and there?)
What could be fun about getting a chance to see Breacher now is that it could allow him and Cisco a chance to potentially work together. Breacher as about as terrifying of a guy as they come so there’s something interesting that comes from the prospect of seeing these two men have to figure out a practical way to work together. More than likely they both want the same thing in the betterment of the multiverse; however, they may each go about how to make this said betterment happen in very different ways.
Hopefully, we’re going to have a chance to see many more episodes from Trejo in the future, though we know that like with Camacho, there is probably going to be a time when he is super backed-up and we may not get to see him for a little bit.
