The Bachelor spoilers: Will Kendall Long eliminate Krystal Nielson?

Kendall Long

Monday night’s new episode of The Bachelor is bringing back a certain time-honored tradition that is certainly rather infamous: The two-on-one date. You’ve got Kendall Long in one corner while Krystal Nielson is in the other.

These two women are certainly on varying sides of the show fandom. Kendall is certainly quirky and wacky, but she’s for the most part well-received and appreciated by most of the show fandom, who consider her to be, by and large, a nice breath of fresh air. However, Krystal is considered to be self-involved, delusional about her own narrative, and the villain of the season by many. Her opinions are harsh and she’s proven to rub many of the other women the wrong way.

Basically, this episode Monday is setting up Krystal for a fall so that she can be seemingly abandoned somewhere by producers, much in the way that Olivia Caridi was abandoned on the middle of an island and both Ashley and Kelsey were hung out to dry by Ben Higgins. The producers love giving the impression that the women on this show are just ditched somewhere and have to hitchhike their way back home.

The promo below does a great job of doing what most of these The Bachelor promos are meant to do, and that is establish the drama and hype up much of the craziness that is coming. You can also get a good sense of that in the ABC synopsis attached:

Arie takes Krystal and Kendall to a beautiful chateau for their feared two-on-one date. The women argue and then at dinner, Arie makes a dramatic choice and takes the lucky bachelorette to the top of the Eiffel Tower where the two kiss while the other woman is left to wonder what went wrong.

It feels almost too safe an assumption that this is when Krystal is going home, largely because producers love crafting some sort of super-satisfying end to some of their villains’ run on the show. Is anyone going to be happy seeing Kendall go home here over Krystal? We cannot imagine that — Kendall has Bachelor in Paradise written all over her. This feels like Krystal’s time and we’re pretty darn certain that there are going to be fireworks … and plenty of them.
