Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 15 review: The restaurant goes off the rails
Instead, the appearance of Uncle Vito ended up be nothing short of a disaster. He took a quick look at the restaurant, only to then head down to the bar to hit on people. He ended up getting robbed by someone who tied him to a bed and left him naked. We wish we could say “typical Uncle Vito,” but that’s probably not fare since we just got a chance to get to know this guy! It’s not exactly typical yet, but it probably will be if we end up seeing him again.
With Kamekona’s help, much of this story for him became about him trying to get his money back without getting any egg on his face. Basically, this was hilarious and our favorite part of this episode.
Somehow, Uncle Vito figured out a way to make this happen and get the guys all the necessary supplies — consider this a fine example of a guy completely stumbling his way in order to get the job done. The best part? Him keeping the Adonis statue that the woman had bought with his stolen money.

Adam’s new mission
Last week he recruited Jessie to be a part of a new anti-crime task force that he was leaving up. Tonight, meanwhile, he sent Jessie into an extremely difficult gang situation. This was a cool mission that involved some fancy cars and high stakes — it also forced the characters out on their own, separate from the rest of the team.
Right when it looked like Jessie was gaining ground, Adam found himself getting shocked by a mysterious figure in a mask before getting trapped in what basically a crate in the middle of a jungle.
Suffice it to say, he’s in danger. Big danger.
Was this your standard murder case?
In paper, sure. Steve and Danny, alongside most of the Five-0, spent their time this week trying to figure out what happened to a private investigator and their client. It was only as the episode progressed that they realized that this was far from your ordinary case. Basically, this led Five-0 to a secret cult-like organization living out in the jungle led by a man named Devin Walsh. As it turns out, most of his “students” carry around guns.
Because of the way in which his “drug” was extracted, Walsh actually thought that he was going to get away with all of this and there was nothing that Five-0 was going to be able to do about it. Not so fast! Instead, what we ended up seeing at the end of this episode was some of Walsh’s own students turning on him.
CarterMatt Verdict
Walsh was operating quite a sketchy operation out there, working to extract what effectively constitutes a controlled substance. He was a spiritual guru turned drug dealer.
