Big Brother: Celebrity Edition live feeds debut briefly

Big Brother: Celebrity Edition live feeds

For anyone out there wanting a taste of the Big Brother: Celebrity Edition live feeds, good news — we actually had them for a brief period of time.

Today, CBS unveiled the smallest tease for what you can expect from some of the celebrities, and it was definitely something we did not expect going in. With a cast that included Omarosa, the common expectation was that we were going to just see many of the women on this season continually at each other’s throats. However, that is turning out to not be the case. Based on what we saw, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Omarosa, and Shannon Elizabeth may actually be working together. If nothing else, they’re at least friendly.

There are a couple of major caveats to take into consideration here. For starters, we’re only a few days into this season and, as any Big Brother fan knows, that means little to nothing. Alliances early in the game, even if they are alliances, often tend to crumble. Also, we were getting the perception of just a few people who may just be going into the Diary Room and talking some smack about people behind their back.

The biggest thing working for the women at the moment is that when it comes to the sheer numbers, they’ve got a clear advantage. There are six of them to only five men, so if they all work together and find a way to seize power every week, they can just whittle away the guys. (Wouldn’t it be funny if the most-successful women’s alliance in Big Brother history came during this cheesy celebrity version?)

Why did CBS offer up the preview?

It’s really just all about being smart and trying to find a good way to cater to your audience — also, getting some advance buzz going. The last time Big Brother aired in the winter, things didn’t go all that well — but that was also a time before Twitter was really all over the place. Social media for this show in particular really is a game-changer.

Remember that Big Brother: Celebrity Edition premieres on Wednesday, February 7 — obviously, we’re planning to give you so much more in the way of coverage before then!
