SWAT episode 13 return date for Shemar Moore, cast
Unfortunately, the bad news for the show’s immediate future is as bad as the news for many of the other CBS series that are out there — there is no new episode for the next month. The Winter Olympics is wiping out much of the primetime schedule that is out there, especially with CBS since they are getting set to unleash much of their counter-programming — which, of course, includes Big Brother: Celebrity Edition airing multiple times during the week.
Hopefully, over the course of the next month you remember that SWAT is coming back, and that there are a lot of great stories still worth checking out. This is the longest hiatus that the show has had since the series premiere and with that, it will be its biggest test. It has been able to withstand a lot of other ones so far, whether it be airing on Thanksgiving, airing without great lead-ins, or having to launch yet another police-themed show at a time in which there’s a network full of them. (If you’ve watched SWAT, you know that it’s far from your ordinary police show — but that takes watching to figure out.)
If the ratings are good for SWAT when the series returns, what that helps to effectively guarantee is that there’s a good chance of a second season coming at some point in the fall. As of right now we’re reasonably confident, mostly because we’re seeing most of the signs … including CBS ordering the show for a full season this year despite it starting so late. (Side note: SWAT season 2 shouldn’t have to wait nearly as long to premiere, given that Thursday Night Football won’t be airing on CBS anymore.)
Hopefully, there will be some more details released on SWAT episode 13 as we get closer to the episode airing.
