Chicago PD season 5 episode 14 preview: Woods’ daughter in trouble

Chicago PD season 5 episode 14 is the final episode before the Winter Olympics, and it may also very well be one of the most significant ones that we’ve seen yet for the Denny Woods character. Through the majority of season 5, what we’ve seen from this guy is an interest, at all costs, in taking Intelligence down a peg. We definitely think that he has an interest in police reform but his desires and hopes go beyond just that. He also wants to do what he can in order to rise up the food chain. When it comes to characters on Chicago PD barely anything is as cut-and-dry as it seems.

02/07/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : INTELLIGENCE INVESTIGATES THE DEATH OF A COLLEGE ATHLETE KILLED AFTER KNEELING IN PROTEST. When a basketball star is found murdered after an anti-police rally, Intelligence navigates a politically charged environment to track down the killer. To complicate matters further, Woods’ (guest star Mykelti Williamson) daughter Brianna (guest star Alexa Adderley) is tangled up in the case. Starring Jason Beghe, Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Elias Koteas, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton and Tracy Spiridakos. Also guest starring Barton Fitzpatrick, Johnny Ray Gill and Ola Osundairo.

What makes this situation so delicate for Woods is that it’s very well possible that his daughter could be used against him. We know that Intelligence does have a tendency to play dirty in certain instances, mostly when it feels as though it can help them break through a case and spin results in a little bit more of a favorable direction. If they perceive a benefit to using Woods’ daughter as a means to getting him to back off, we absolutely think that they’re not above it. It is definitely something to consider.

No matter what happens, we do perceive that Chicago PD next week will have one of its most-powerful episodes of the entire season — it has to be, mostly because it will have to compensate for the three weeks in which there are no episodes at all.
