Blindspot season 3 spoilers: Archie Panjabi returning as Nas

Archie Panjabi

Are we going to be seeing more of Archie Panjabi as Nas on Blindspot? Consider this article to be news that you’ve been very much looking forward to seeing! The former The Good Wife actress, who is also excellent in The Fall and had a recent guest spot on CBS’ Bull, is going to be coming on board the Jaimie Alexander series for a season 3 guest spot coming up a little bit later this year.

As for the reasoning behind this appearance (her first since the end of season 2), most of the powers that be are keeping things relatively tight-lipped. Here’s what executive producer Martin Gero had to say on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:

“We’re so elated to have the tremendous Archie Panjabi back for a very exciting one-off episode this year! I can’t say much about what will happen in the episode yet, but Nas will play a small but integral part in bringing down the bad guys this year.”

It feels pretty easy to say that Nas is an effective addition to our heroes’ division of the FBI anytime she stops by, given that she is smart and so highly-trained. There aren’t many other characters who are so useful. We’re also just grateful to have Panjabi stopping by for however long that she is around, especially since we figure that she’s the sort of performer who is going to be easily courted into pilot season in a matter of weeks. So long as she is interested in taking on another series, we have to imagine that there are going to be some other opportunities that come her way.

If you do love Blindspot, go ahead and prepare yourself for this bit of bad news: There is going to be a hiatus coming up. On the other side of that, though, we are looking forward to having a new episodes on the other side of the Olympics. There shouldn’t be too many interruptions that we run into along the way.
