The Brave: what we’d like to see in a potential season 2
Last night NBC’s The Brave concluded its freshmen season with an explosive episode with a melancholy cliffhanger. It was full of unexpected twists and was a well-written and directed episode. So if NBC decides to renew the series (which we hope it does) here’s what we like to see during Season 2.
News on Preach – At the end of last night’s finale we saw Preach still in a coma in the hospital with the team surrounding him for support. So during Season 2 we’d like to see more on this incident. Does Preach die? Is he still in a coma? We don’t believe he would die, but depending on whether there is a time jump or not, he could still be in coma. If so, how will the team react? It’s a safe bet to think the team will be trying to mentally recover and move on without their friend by there side. Preach was a valuable team member with skills like no other.
In addition, how would Adam Dalton handle it? In the last couple of episodes, it really became clear that Preach is someone Dalton truly trusts and has known the longest. Preach knows how he thinks and behaves. So we can guess that the person who would take this harder than anyone would be Dalton. However, Patricia would give him a run for his money, probably because Patricia could feel guilty seeing as though Hoffman was trying to kill her and not Preach. It’s an interesting storyline to delve into during a potential Season 2 and definitely one we’d like to see.
Dalton and Jazz – Overall, we love the dynamic between these two characters. We know some people on social media are cheering for these two to get together eventually and we can see why. They work well together and we can see that there could be more to their relationship. At times we can see they are friends and other times hints of sexual tension are present. Even if, the writers had no intention of putting these two together, we’d still like to see more moments between the two. Dalton keeps Jazz grounded and focus and Jazz reminds Dalton to let down his serious demeanor. No matter what happens between them, we’d like to see more great moments.
Hannah, Noah, and Patricia in the field – We saw these characters in the field a few times during the season and we loved it. It gave the episode more depth and more avenues for storytelling. It was thrilling. Now, we don’t want to see them in the field every episode because we love watching them help the team from DC, but every so often would be good.

There are many more avenues this show can take with its storytelling and that’s why this show has to be renewed. There are so many questions to be answered and stories that haven’t even been thought of to tell still. We love this show and hopefully NBC does too. Here’s to a potential season season.
