Chicago Fire season 6 episode 11 video: The Severide – Grissom story continues

Chicago Fire season 6 episode 11

Chief Grissom was introduced on Chicago Fire this past week, and leading into Thursday night’s new episode it looks as though there is going to be some more drama surrounding the character.

How much so? In the new video below via SpoilerTV, you can see Gary Cole’s character arrive to Firehouse 51 with one clear goal in mind: Trying to figure out a way in which to decipher what happened during a recent incident out in the field — one in which he tackled an escaped prisoner.

While this was a dramatic moment that took place during their rescue, what Grissom is more curious about is the decision that went into leaving another person in danger. He wants to know who was the person who made that choice, and this is where Kelly starts to waver a little bit. He cannot decide whether or not to share the responsibility with Casey or throw him under the bus — we get the sense that he really doesn’t want to do the latter, but ends up doing it anyway (even on accident).

What could be the aftermath of this? In a word, trouble. Casey is probably not going to appreciate being hung out to dry like this, and as a result of that we figure that there is going to be a little bit more conflict coming up for these characters through this episode. Just remember that it’s also not like Casey and Severide are the best of pals right now anyway — there’s been some underlying tension between them over just how involved Severide has been with the whole Bria storyline. It could carry over to what’s happening here, especially since they also had some drama earlier this season with Casey becoming Captain.

It’s becoming pretty clear that no matter what happens on Chicago Fire, things often do come back to the Casey – Severide drama that existed at the start of the series.
