Chicago Fire season 6 episode 11 preview: Casey, Severide at odds again

02/01/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Thursday) : THE FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN CASEY AND SEVERIDE CONTINUES TO BE TESTED – GARY COLE GUEST STARS – After responding to a time-sensitive rescue, Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) don’t see eye to eye on the best course of action. Herrmann (David Eigenberg) struggles to entertain his daughter on “bring your child to work day.” Brett (Kara Killmer) is joined by a surprise guest during a spa getaway, courtesy of Dawson (Monica Raymund), while Kidd’s (Miranda Rae Mayo) social life gets a boost. Eamonn Walker, Yuri Sardarov, Joe Minoso and Christian Stolte also star. Amy Morton, Randy Flagler, Tony Ferraris and Daniel Di Tomasso also guest star.
While we’re sure that the issues between Casey and Severide out in the field are real, this is probably one of those situations where there is so much more going on than first meets the eye. They’ve got problems that of course stem back from the start of the series, but there are two other issues likely compounding that now.
1. Casey’s promotion earlier on – Severide may be happy for him, but there’s a part of him that still may not love it.
2. Bria – We already know that Matt doesn’t seem to be happy with how much Dawson is leaning on Severide when it comes to the search and that story. We don’t think he’s threatened romantically or anything, but he wants to be the emotional rock. He’s not going to be altogether pleased with someone coming in and intruding.
Chicago Fire season 6 episode 11 is the last episode of the show before the Winter Olympics; with that, be prepared for a little bit of a break. Beyond that, don’t be altogether shocked if there is some sort of cliffhanger coming. That’s something that Chicago Fire likes to do for their season finales, but they have no problem sprinkling those in here and there.
