The Flash season 4 spoilers: Glee’s Max Adler set to play Jaco Birch

Flash season 4

Who is Jaco Birch? Well, consider him the newest adversary stopping by on The Flashand a rather fascinating one at that. There is no direct correlation between him and a character from the comics; yet, he’s apparently got a love for fire and is interesting enough to be a character worth watching when he debuts a little bit later this season.

Just in case you want an additional reason to be excited about this character, know this: We’re getting a mini-Glee reunion out of it! According to Flash TV News, Max Adler, who played Kurt’s former bully-turned friend Karofsky on the musical series, will be appearing as this character. The character is described as “an obsessive music fanatic who worships at the altar of classic heavy metal.” He works as a roadie, and the fact that he loves fire probably means that this is not the best environment for him to be around.

Does Birch end up being the villain of the week? It’s absolutely possible…

This is not the first time in which The Flash has utilized someone from the Glee world for a guest spot. Remember here that the third season featured an appearance from Darren Criss as the Music Meister, and we’ve also got former series star Melissa Benoist appearing over on Supergirl. There are certainly some other stars from that show we’d love to appear on The Flash in the future. Obviously Chris Colfer (busy as he is writing) is near the top of the list, but it’d also be fun to see Matthew Morrison after he showed on Grey’s Anatomy that he can be really terrifying in evil roles.

The Big Bad for The Flash season 4 does remain the Thinker a.k.a. Clifford DeVoe; we’ve got a feeling that this is not going to change for at least the rest of the year.
