Chicago Fire season 6: Is someone pregnant?

Chicago Fire season 6 premiere

Mrs. Carter: Is there going to be a pregnancy surprise coming up in the future on Chicago Fire?

For those who have been waiting to see a storyline in this vein, we have a feeling that you could be seeing that in the (relatively) near future. In a new post on Twitter (see below), show executive producer Derek Haas noted, after being asked if there was “baby news” coming, that there is going to be a “trip to the pharmacy” coming up when the show returns after the Olympics. Make of that whatever you want, but it absolutely seems as though someone will be having conversations about adding to their family. Whether or not that actually materializes into someone welcoming a new baby into the mix, that’s something that we will have to just wait and see about.

The obvious couple to be starting a family is of course Dawson and Casey, largely because the two of them have circled that for a while now. For example, we had the whole situation with Louie and now, the two have taken in Bria under their care. We suppose that there are other characters who could be in the mix — after all, Stella seems to be getting involved now with Zach, while Brett had a brief fling with Antonio earlier this year. Who knows? Maybe there will be some other romance that comes their way at some point in the future.

Haas also noted in his Q&A today that there will likely be some longer stretches of episodes when Chicago Fire does return after the Olympics. There will ultimately have to be, given that we’ve still got a good half of the season to air before the May sweeps come to a close. Hopefully, getting that sort of substantial run will make some people happy who were bummed out by the hiatuses for Thursday Night Football and now the Winter Games.
