Madam Secretary season 4 and the road ahead for Tea Leoni, cast

Madam Secretary

Even though we are more than halfway through Madam Secretary season 4, the good news is this: There is still plenty more of the story left to tell featuring Tea Leoni and the remainder of the cast!

At present, we should note that CBS has yet to confirm whether or not there are 22 or 23 episodes to this current season. The way the schedule works out at present, it’s hard to imagine more than 22 without CBS extending the schedule beyond the traditional May sweeps window.

Let’s frame things in this way: Madam Secretary is returning on March 11 with season 4 episode. As previously reported in our discussion on the subject of NCIS: Los Angeles, there is no episode airing on April 15 in order to accommodate what’s happening with the Academy of Country Music Awards. There should be new installments airing all around it; as a matter of fact, there really needs to be when you think about the sheer number of episodes left per the number of weeks. The CBS series is likely going to last until May 20, so no matter however many episodes we have this season there is a lot left to enjoy. That’s especially a good thing when it comes to the sort of ground that the writers could cover.

What we’d like to see over the course of this is a little bit more explanation on the subject of whether or not Elizabeth McCord wants to run for President. She doesn’t have to make that decision in the future for us to be satisfied with the future; yet, at the same exact time it makes a little bit of sense for someone in Elizabeth’s position to think about it. She is powerful, successful, and there will be people in her corner. However, over the course of the episodes that are coming up she may realize that there are more reasons for her to not run than there are reasons to go for it. As of right now, it doesn’t seem to be something she is seriously pushing to get in the first place.
