Agents of SHIELD season 5 spoilers: Dove Cameron’s role revealed

Nick Blood returning

Want a little bit more insight in regards to Dove Cameron’s role on Agents of SHIELD season 5? You have certainly come to the right place!

According to a new report from Entertainment Weekly, the former Liv & Maddie star is going to be appearing coming up in the role of Ruby, a young woman with a “cunning” personality … and someone who may have a less-than-healthy obsession with one Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet). Why that obsession exists may not be the easiest thing to decipher given the information that we have, but it really should not come as much of a surprise that there would be people who become innately fascinated by Inhumans. They may viewed as elevated or better in many ways; normal people may aspire to be more like them, regardless of whether or not they are heroes or villains.

One other twist here is that Cameron’s character is also the daughter of General Hale, who was heavily involved in that Fitz storyline from earlier this season. Superficially, it’s not altogether easy to figure out precisely how she ends up working her way into the storyline this season. Then again, we imagine that figuring that out is, in part, a little bit of what makes it fun.

We are getting pretty close at the moment to where the rubber meets the road, at least in terms of starting to understand a little bit more about how SHIELD can make it back home after spending the vast majority of season 4 to date out in space. We’re excited for an opportunity to understand a little bit more in terms of what the present could look like on the other side of all of this. While we have a feeling that Coulson and company will find a way to save the world from ending, there are likely going to be other problems that surface along the way.
