Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 12 photo: Carina, Arizona far from done

The relationship between Carina and Arizona on Grey’s Anatomy started off hot, but since that time we’ve started to see things cool off to a certain extent. They’ve had some other priorities, and in that time we’ve also seen some other hookups. Remember Carina and Owen? We don’t get a sense that this romance is sticking, and Carina and Arizona seems to be the future … or at least the near future.

For more proof of that, you don’t have to look any further than the new Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 12 photo above! This photo features Arizona and Carina clearly spending some degree of time together. As for what exactly it is that they are doing, this is a worthy subject of debate. It seems like they’re out either on a date or just so happened to be at the bard together at the same time.

Either way, doesn’t this inspire at least some measure of hope that the two parties could have a future? We know that we’d like Arizona to be happy, given that she is a character who has went through so much in between the plane crash, the departure of Callie from Seattle, and then also the short-lived and reasonably ill-fated romance with Eliza Minnick. Remember that? It seems like it’s so far in the rear-view mirror at this point.

We’re hoping that there are some interesting chances in order to see a little bit more of Arizona and Carina coming up beyond this episode; remember that Jesse Williams is set to direct one installment set to air later on in season 14 that will put a spotlight firmly on Jessica Capshaw’s character. That will help to assess exactly where she is in her life, coupled with what she wants from her future.

Grey’s Anatomy season 14 episode 12 could just be big because it’s one of the last installments airing before the network goes off the air for the Winter Olympics. After all, they realize that there is no reason to want to compare with much of the games.
