Scandal season 7 episode 10 preview: Olivia’s intervention

Scandal season 7 episode 2

What’s coming on Scandal season 7 episode 10? The title here is “The People v. Olivia Pope,” but unfortunately in advance of the episode tonight that was all that ABC was really willing to hand down. They weren’t keep to deliver a synopsis or loop us in with any additional information.

Is this a trend that could end up lasting for the remainder of the season? We absolutely do think that this is possible.

What we saw in the preview for next week’s new episode is rather simple: The intervention of one Olivia Pope as many of her fellow Gladiators and “friends” are going to do what they can in order to help her, provided of course that she can be helped or even wants it. Olivia is a woman who has shown, time and time again, that she has the capacity to do good things; unfortunately, as of late the only thing that she has done is slowly descend into darkness. She’s allowed some of her demons to get the best of her and that is a pretty dangerous thing. With as much power as she can you have a reason to be fearful of what she can do.

As a matter of fact, things are going to be so bad with Liv that Huck is going to question if she killed Quinn.

If Olivia can start to see the error of her ways, there’s a chance that we could see the series end with the character getting back to the person we first knew her to be earlier on in the season. In one way, Olivia remains an inspiration for managing to make it so far up the food chain; yet, it’s what she’s done with that power that make her far from a likable figure. At this point in the series, we’re running out for people we really want to root for.
