NCIS: Los Angeles season 9: The wait for ‘Goodbye Vietnam’ details

Goodbye Vietnam

The enthusiasm for “Goodbye Vietnam” is out there, and it’s for a very good reason. After all, the March 11 episode of NCIS: Los Angeles is the first episode back after the show’s lengthy hiatus, and the fate of one Henrietta Lange is in question.

The good news entering this episode, (at least for the time being) is simply that the character is still alive. The bad news? If she keeps biting people who are torturing her, we’re not sure how long she will stay that way. We know that nobody wants to kill her, mostly because of the fact that if they did, they’ve had plenty of opportunities in order to do that already. They’ve got a larger goal and that should allow for the rest of the team to find her and keep something terrible from happening.

Yet, the danger here is this: If they don’t find her quickly enough and Hetty continues to be so pugnacious, maybe there’s a good chance that Sam, Callen, and the rest of team fail in their mission. Hetty’s captors may decide that they’ve had enough.

So when will more information on “Goodbye Vietnam” be officially revealed? CarterMatt has your timetable.

Details – Typically CBS reveals scoop on upcoming new episodes around two to three weeks before a given episode airs. Therefore, be prepared to start seeing some more news on “Goodbye Vietnam” around mid-February. The 20th or so seems like a pretty good spot in which the scoop could start to come out.

Promo – You’ll probably have to wait a little while longer for this. CBS is not a network that tends to release promos for some of its new episodes until we get a week or so away from them coming on the air. With that, you’ll probably get something like this come March 4 or so — if the network for whatever reason doesn’t want to air a promo opposite the Oscars, they should put one online in the day that follows.

No matter the timing, be prepared for what should end up being the most epic installment of the entire season to date.
